GHS, the globally harmonized system was set up by regulation (EC) 1272/2008 in the EU. The regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC (dangerous substance directive) and 1999/45/EC (preparation directive), and amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) came into force on 20/01/2009. To support companies getting ready with the new system, we have developed an easy to use GHS converter tool to translate substances classification from old to the new system.
