Inquiry Service

An Inquiry is the process by which every potential registrant of a non phase-in substance (or a phase-in substance which has not been pre-registered) must inquire to ECHA whether a registration has already been submitted for the same substance (as required by Art 26).

Potential registrants are required to submit, to the ECHA, certain information in IUCLID 5 format such as the companies identity, the detailed identity of the substance and information on which studies involving vertebrate animals and other new studies need to be carried out. For the informations on new studies IUCLID section 14 must be filled in.
