SCIP Notification service to the SIP-Database of ECHA
Information requirements for articles with svhc (substances of very high concern), SCIP notification
At REACh ChemConsult GmbH, we provide advice and training on SCIP notification and carry this out for our customers.
SCIP: Substances Of Concern In Articles, As Such Or In Complex Objects (Products)). SCIP was established under the Waste Framework Directive. Beginning on January 5th 2021, companies must notify ECHA, if they place articles or products on the market with substances of very high concern (SVHC) in a concentration of more than 0.1% (w/w). The SCIP database shall ensure that such data about the articles is available throughout the whole life cycle of the products and materials. Information contained in the database will be available for waste recyclers and consumers. The submitted SCIP notifications are publicly available in the SCIP database at ECHA. The SCIP notification is made via dossiers created in the IUCLID software.
The SCIP database was launched on 28.10.2020. Since then companies can submit data on substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in their articles.
Do you need help with the notification to the SCIP database? We can take care of it. You can contact us for further information on our services and a quotation.
